Dr. Christine Martirez
(PT, DPT)
Dr. Christine Martirez is a dedicated Orthopedic & Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist with a passion for helping patients achieve optimal health and wellness. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seton Hall University, followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Rutgers University. Before transitioning into physical therapy, she was a competitive powerlifter, which deepened her fascination with anatomy, physiology, and the mechanics of the human body. This experience sparked her commitment to understanding the complexities of physical rehabilitation.
With a comprehensive background in orthopedics, Dr. Christine has experience treating a wide range of patients dealing with conditions such as neck pain, lower back pain, post-operative rehabilitation, concussion management, and stroke recovery. Her extensive experience in orthopedics merges with her pelvic health knowledge, which has allowed her to integrate whole-body treatment approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Dr. Christine combines her orthopedic knowledge with advanced training in pelvic floor therapy to provide holistic treatment, including interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education. She works with both female and male patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunctions, such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti (abdominal separation), and pelvic pain. Her goal is to empower patients by restoring strength, mobility, and confidence in their bodies. By addressing the root cause of pain and dysfunction, Dr. Christine aims to help patients live healthier, more active lives.
In her free time, Dr. Christine loves to go to the gym, attend hot yoga classes, watch anime and sitcoms, spend time with friends & family, and play with her 2 cats, Blue and Mardi.
