    Dr. Coomber is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with special certification in orthopedic manual therapy (COMT) and corrective exercise (CES). He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2010. At the end of his formal training, he completed his affiliation at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan where he worked in the outpatient and acute rehab departments.

    After graduating, he began working in outpatient private practice where he discovered there was a need for improving quality of care in a patient-focused setting. He has trained in the most advanced techniques in the field, which has resulted in a very high success rate in his patients reaching their therapeutic goals.

    Dr. Coomber is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). This designation of distinction is given to Manual / Manipulative Physical Therapists around the world who have completed the post-graduate specialization in the field of musculo-skeletal and neuro-muscular disorders. The technique used, the Maitland Approach, is a world-renowned, highly effective, gentle hands-on approach to the management of these conditions.

    Dr. Coomber is also certified in LSVT BIG Parkinson’s Disease Treatment & Protocol.

    By utilizing this approach, Dr. Coomber believes most painful conditions can be cured non-surgically if the right assessments and treatments are provided. He is one of only 20 COMTs in the state of New Jersey.

    Dr. Coomber has been recognized as a Top Doctor in New Jersey by Healthy Living Magazine on numerous occasions, most recently in 2013.

    Dr. Coomber’s personal interests include skiing, weight-lifting (fitness training), hiking and running (former collegiate track athlete).

    Danielle Mendez earned her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from the CAPTE-accredited program at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Danielle returned to the States for her last clinical placement in 2013 and received her license in early 2014. Prior to studying abroad Danielle attended Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey where she earned her bachelor’s in biological sciences. Danielle became a board certified specialist in Orthopedics in 2018.

    Danielle takes an individualized approach to management of her patients and believes the best patient care comes from tailoring treatment to the person not the diagnosis. Danielle has taken courses such as Maitland, Mulligan and Spinal Manipulation, to progress her manual skills, as well as Functional Movement Taping, Pilates and Runner’s Rehab to further expand her skillset. She is also a Certified Concussion Specialist by The American Institute of Balance.

    In addition to her passion for physical therapy, Danielle has coached gymnastics for 15+ years and volunteers on the high school level from time to time. This experience has provided her a unique insight into working with athletes, including but not limited to dancers, gymnasts, football and soccer players.

    In her free time, she enjoys working out, whether it be running, weight lifting, snowboarding or playing with her dog. Most importantly she loves anything which involves spending time with her family.
