  • Dr. James Coomber
    PT, DPT, COMT (Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist), CES, FMT-C, ART, SFMA, LSVT BIG

    Dr. Coomber is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with special certification in orthopedic manual therapy (COMT) and corrective exercise (CES). He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2010. At the end of his formal training, he completed his affiliation at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan where he worked in the outpatient and acute rehab departments.

    After graduating, he began working in outpatient private practice where he discovered there was a need for improving quality of care in a patient-focused setting. He has trained in the most advanced techniques in the field, which has resulted in a very high success rate in his patients reaching their therapeutic goals.

    Dr. Coomber is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). This designation of distinction is given to Manual / Manipulative Physical Therapists around the world who have completed the post-graduate specialization in the field of musculo-skeletal and neuro-muscular disorders. The technique used, the Maitland Approach, is a world-renowned, highly effective, gentle hands-on approach to the management of these conditions.

    Dr. Coomber is also certified in LSVT BIG Parkinson’s Disease Treatment & Protocol.

    By utilizing this approach, Dr. Coomber believes most painful conditions can be cured non-surgically if the right assessments and treatments are provided. He is one of only 20 COMTs in the state of New Jersey.

    Dr. Coomber has been recognized as a Top Doctor in New Jersey by Healthy Living Magazine on numerous occasions, most recently in 2013.

    Dr. Coomber’s personal interests include skiing, weight-lifting (fitness training), hiking and running (former collegiate track athlete).

  • Dr. Laura Kelly
    PT, DPT, STMT-1

    Laura Kelly earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Richard Stockton University in 2011 after receiving her bachelor’s in Biology with a concentration  in Pre-PT. For the majority of her Physical Therapy career she has been working in outpatient orthopedics treating post operative orthopedic conditions, overuse injuries, Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, BPPV (vertigo), and concussion.

    Laura believes in a manual approach to treatment with training in Maitland techniques, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and cupping. She earned her Soft Tissue Manual Tool Certification Level 1 from Elite in fall of 2019 and and received training from Modern Cupping Therapy in the summer of 2019.

    Laura believes in returning every patient back to their full capabilities both on and off the job to improve their quality of life. Outside of the office Laura enjoys running (former collegiate athlete), surfing, skiing, yoga, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
