Dr. Nathaniel Kim
(PT, DPT, CSCS)
Dr. Nate Kim graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Exercise Science before continuing his education at Rutgers to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. His clinical experiences have focused heavily on sports rehabilitation and performance, with a strong foundation in both therapy and strength training.
Nate completed a clinical rotation at Truesports in Maryland, where he worked extensively with athletes recovering from post-operative procedures such as ACL reconstruction, meniscus repairs, shoulder surgeries, as well as those dealing with muscle injuries and tendinopathies. He also spent over five years interning in Rutgers University’s physical therapy training room, assisting in the care of Division I athletes across multiple sports.
In addition to his rehabilitation background, Nate gained experience in performance training through a four-month strength and conditioning internship with Freak Strength in Oakland, NJ, where he learned to train athletes of all levels—from youth to professional. In addition to being a licensed physical therapist, Nate is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). His treatment philosophy integrates principles of both rehabilitation and performance to most effectively prepare athletes to return to sport.
Nate is passionate about treating athletes and helping them return to high levels of performance. He believes that the definition of an “athlete” extends beyond competitive sports; anyone striving to return to physical activity deserves treatment that rebuilds their strength, resilience, and capacity to perform.
